I’m so excited to share that my first mystery for adults, MISSED CUE, comes out today, August 8^th, from Melange Books. I’d love for you to check it out! Here’s a brief description:

When ballerina Lydia Miseau dies onstage in the final dress rehearsal of Romeo and Juliet, homicide detective Caitlin O’Connor is faced with the most complicated case of her career. She strongly suspects that someone murdered the ballerina, and her investigation uncovers several people close to the star who had reasons to kill her. But the autopsy reveals no apparent cause of death. If Lydia Miseau was murdered, who did it, and how? 

Meantime, there’s Caitlin’s hot mess of a personal life. She has a bad habit of getting involved with married men. She knows it’s wrong, so why does she keep entangling herself in unhealthy relationships? She’s finally decided to go into therapy to find out.                       

Meantime, I had a wonderful time this past weekend at the La Grange Book Fair with my fellow Sisters in Crime authors from our local chapter, Derby Rotten Scoundrels. And soon, I’ll be on the road to Killer Nashville, my favorite writer’s conference from August 17-20. I’ll be on the faculty and am delighted that DEADLY SETUP has been nominated for a Silver Falchion Award and my work-in-progress, MISSING MOM, was named a Claymore finalist for unpublished manuscripts.

Finally, Kelly Brakenhoff has put together a fun collection of recipes from mystery authors, including one from me (well, actually from my husband, the cooking star of our family!).
